Intravenous Therapy flyer

SwiftCare Urgent Care is now offering Intravenous (IV) Nutritional Therapy administration to provide supplemental vitamins and micronutrients to improve your body’s state of health and overall well-being. Usually, you consume your vitamins and micronutrients through your food. You may even take additional multivitamin supplements. This allows your stomach and intestines to break down the vitamins and micronutrients. If they are not absorbed, they continue thought the body and are excreted as stool. Other factors that may impact the amount of vitamins absorbed from the intestine depend upon your metabolisms, age, genetics, and interactions with other orally consumed products. It is likely that a significant amount of the orally ingested vitamins and micronutrients are lost resulting in much of these vitamins and micronutrients going to waste – literally!

With IV Nutritional Therapy, minerals and vitamins are administered into the body through the veins. This allows the vitamins and micronutrients to avoid metabolism in the intestine and be absorbed directly from the bloodstream. This allows the body to receive the full benefits of these nutrients immediately!

Components of an IV Nutritional Infusion May Include:

  • Vitamin C
  • Vitamin B complex
  • Vitamin B12
  • Other B Vitamins
  • Folic acid
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Glutathione

Other medications may be required or needed and used in IV therapy are also available depending upon your diagnosis. IE:

  • Migraines
  • Influenza
  • COVID
  • Nausea, Vomiting and Diarrhea
  • Hangover
  • Etc. (We are an Urgent Care first and foremost)

Getting Ahead of Seasonal Allergies

Seasonal allergies—also called “allergic rhinitis” or “hay fever”—cause itchy eyes, runny noses, sneezing, and scratchy throats in certain people whose immune systems are prone to allergies.

The actual triggers that cause these symptoms may vary from season to season. The most common triggers are ragweed in the fall, trees in the spring, and grass in the summer. All of these triggers cause the immune system to identify allergens as intruders, which creates an exaggerated immune response that sparks the uncomfortable, bothersome allergic symptoms many of us know so well.
